Roger L. Harmon is an award winning guitarist and bassist, originally from Indiana, now based in Denver, Colorado. His expertise is supported by a Bachelors in Music from Indiana University as well as a Masters in Music from the University of Denver.  With a foundation in classical guitar, he excels as an in demand performer of all styles including jazz, folk, and rock.  Roger has shared the stage with artists including Alabama, Umphrey’s McGee, Victor Wooten, Trout Steak Revival, and Green Lemon.   

As an Azica recording artist, Massif Trio plays Schumann, Schubert & Strauss was released in 2011 and is distributed worldwide.  “As a whole, the Massif Trio produces a masterful performance filled with keen musical insight, evocative text painting, and enticing sound quality.” - AllMusic Review by Mike D. Brownell 

In the orchestra pit, Roger played guitar and bass for Chess the Musical (Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA), Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Peter Pan.  He has composed music for film and currently composes and records the music for the popular Colorado podcast Mile Hi Locavorist

Roger studied with famed Cuban guitarist Ricardo Iznaola (University of Denver), bassist Greg Garrison (Leftover Salmon), and bassist Drew Morell (University of Colorado at Denver).  Now, a sought after educator himself, he operators his own studio, Aviator Music Stapleton.

During his free time, Roger enjoys spending time with his wife, Alexis, son, Louis, and beagle, Gabby.
